Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs in the Hospital to facilitate rehabilitation for the physically handicapped.
Direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance; facilitate the learning of those skills
and functions essential for adaptation and productivity to diminish or correct pathology and to promote and maintain health.
Direct activities of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in absence of the Rehabilitation Manager.
Consult with other members of the Rehabilitation Team to select the most appropriate activity program consistent with the needs
and capabilities of each patient.
Provide care for the adult or geriatric patients, ages 18 years and over.
Perform Occupational Therapy prescribed by physician and establish appropriate plan of care based on results of evaluation.
Select constructive activities suited to the patient’s physical capacity, intelligence level and interest.
Teach patients the skills and techniques required for participation in activities: evaluate patients’ progress, attitudes and behavior as related to their rehabilitative potential.
Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association (ACOTE).
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Licensed to practice in the state
