The Registered Dietitian (RD) monitors nutrition screening done by nursing, performs nutrition assessment, develops and implements nutrition care plans, provides periodic reassessments to monitor therapy status and educates patients, ages 18 to geriatric, on diet and nutrition issues. The RD serves as a liaison between the interdisciplinary team, the patient and the Nutritional Services Department. These tasks are carried out according to hospital policy, hospital mission and the policies and mission of Food and Nutrition Services.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a Food and Nutrition program
  • Licensure as required by the State
  • Ability to read, speak and write English
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment
